Small Business Health Insurance Plan question by SG77: Small business with health insurance plan covering 2 people, going to close business will cal cobra cover?
possibly closing business under the current economy and other factors. When and if we decide to close the business our health insurance would be stopped (I believe). Under this circumstance would the two people running the business be eligible for Cal-Cobra in which each person would then pay for their own insurance and go our separate ways? is this correct? insurance is so confusing, it’s like a foriegn language. Any help on this is appreciated.

COBRA only applies if the employer is still in business and the other employees are still on the group insurance. This is not the case here. You will have to find individual coverage or another group coverage through a new employer.
